... working with children at CBC

As a family church, we invest in our children and young people and they in turn contribute to all aspects of church life.

Our main regular activities for children include Sunday School, Explore, family days out, Holiday Club and more.

Holiday Club

Our 2018 Holiday Club is Guardians of Ancora and will be from 10am-12.30pm on Monday 30 July to Friday 3 August 2018.

The task of the Guardians each day is to find lost story-treasure, return it to the Hall of Memory in the city of Ancora and explore the story that it represents. There will be Bible stories, games, crafts, songs and so much more each day.

Holiday Club is for children who are currently in Reception to Year 6.

It is essential to register in advance for Guardians of Ancora by completing a registration form. You can download a form by clicking on the button to the right. This can either be completed on a computer and emailed back or printed out, filled in and returned to the church at the address on the form. (If you are printing out the form there is no need to print out the Privacy Notice on page 2.)

Once we have received your completed form we will send you an email confirming that your child has a place at Holiday Club 2018. If you do not hear from us within two days of submitting a form please get in touch.

We are anticipating a high level of demand so please register early in order to avoid disappointment.

This is for children aged 3 to 10 years (up to and including Year 5) and runs from 10.30 - 12.00 on the same Sunday in January, March, May, September and November that we run ReFill - which in 2018 will be 28 Jan, 4 Mar, 13 May, 23 Sept and 4 Nov.

Explore is packed with great activities, crafts, Bible stories, games and lots more. Call the church office for more details or enquire using the contact form opposite. There is no need to book and parents are encouraged to come to ReFill, which runs in parallel in the main church building.

Parents are required to complete the registration and consent form. You can do this on the morning when you arrive for the first time but if you want to save time you can download and complete a form by clicking here.

Sunday School and Creche

We have Sunday School groups running for children from ages 4-11 years. For the under 4s there is a creche where parents may leave their children if they want to - or stay with them - whichever works best.

There are two groups: one is for ages 4-7 and the other is for ages 7-11.

The Sunday School team is committed to sharing the gospel in fun & creative ways. Games, crafts, cooking & quizzes are just some of the activities the children get involved in, as well as praying and reading the Bible together.

Our main aim is to provide somewhere for children and young people to learn and deepen their relationship with Jesus, while exploring who they are as individuals, and discovering the callings on their lives.

Su Tarring is our Children's and Families' Worker, and works with an amazing team of volunteers to provide a great range of activities for our children.
