People

There are many parts to the Church and many people taking part who make CBC such a special place. Below are the teams that lead and serve CBC in Comberton and the local area.

Minister

Revd. Keith Tarring started as our full-time minister on 1st January 2014 after 10 years at Camrose Baptist Church in North London. As well as serving at CBC, Keith is a governor of a local primary school and is actively involved in the community. Keith, his wife Su and their three children live in the church manse in Comberton.

Deacons

Deacons are elected by the Members to represent and serve. As well as overseeing church operations they also take care of practical matters such as buildings, finance, administration and resourcing.

Along with the Minister and any Elders, the Deacons are the legal Trustees of the Charitable Incorporated Organisation, Comberton Baptist Church.

Our Children's & Families' Worker, Su Tarring, is responsible for our work with children here at CBC along with their families. Su is helped by a brilliant team of enthusiastic and experienced volunteers who help with Sunday school, Explore and other events we put on throughout the year. Su can be contacted using the form on the children's page.

Young People

Our Youth Worker, Lydia Sings, is responsible for the young people at CBC (yrs. 7-13) and can be contacted using the form on the young people's page. Activities include Sunday morning groups, midweek Bible studies, trips, EDGE community youth club and more. Lydia also plays an active role in WCCYM - West Cambridge Christian Youth Ministries.

Administration

Our administrator is Sophie Smith and she is the main point of contact for all general inquiries. The office is usually open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings - check the church calendar for changes. For any further information please contact 01223 264707 or use the form on the contact page. You are advised to call before visiting to confirm that the office is open.
