Autumn 2026 - Major Truths from the Minor Prophets

This autumn we are returning to our series on the minor prophets and looking at all those we did not do last year. Remember that the ‘minor’ doesn’t mean they are less important – they are simply shorter than the ‘major’ prophets, Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel. It is important to understand something of their context when trying to work out how their message then applies to us now. But their role was often to warn the people of Israel or Judah that if they carried on the way they were going then God’s judgement was coming and they would be taken into exile. Although there was sometimes prophecy in the sense of prediction – they were also bringing the word of God – reminding the people of what God had already said back in the Torah: if you do this, then you will…but if you do that, then…
