Current teaching series

Each term we follow a different teaching topic as the theme for our Sunday morning services.

Summer 2026 - The Holy Spirit

This summer we are going to be looking at the Holy Spirit. Whilst our summer series would normally be looking at a book from Acts to Revelation, the person, work and role of the Holy Spirit is mentioned throughout the whole of the Bible story, right from page one. Therefore our series will cover the whole of the Bible, although the bulk of it will come from those passages that happened after Pentecost.

Questions around the topic of the Holy Spirit are the sort of issues that historically churches have split over. Speaking in tongues, baptism in the Spirit, and the place of miracles to name just three. Therefore, as we approach this subject we do so with humility, recognising that within our congregation there will be people who have strong views one way, others who have equally strong, but opposite opinions, and those who have no opinion at all and for whom all this is totally new.

Differing opinions should not cause us to shy away from contentious topics. We should be able to disagree well, to understand why some people think differently to us, and continue to love one another as we seek to allow the Holy Spirit to shape and mould us to more like Jesus.
