Our splendid church building is a traditional brick-built chapel. Over the years it has been developed and improved and now provides comfortable, flexible space for over 100 worshippers, which can be increased to 130 with a more formal layout for weddings and other events. In 2021 we further improved this space providing even more flexibility.
Flexible space
There are no fixed pews so the main area can be changed quickly to suit different needs. Chairs can be easily stacked and removed, providing uncluttered space for our youth group and other activities. Glass bifold doors separate the main seating area and the foyer allowing additional seating if required. The foyer includes a small kitchenette suitable for making drinks or serving cakes or sandwiches.
Upper Room
Our Upper Room was added in 2005 and provides a comfortable, modern meeting room for up to 20 people. Elders and Deacons hold their meetings here and it is also used for youth groups, Bible studies and Sunday school classes. This space can only be accessed via stairs.
Audio-visual
We are currently upgrading and improving the AV facilities at CBC. We have wifi, a wireless sound desk and the ability to project most formats as well as live stream from the building.
The Church Centre
The Church Centre which was opened in 1999 is designed to serve not only the church members, but everyone in Comberton. In 2021 we extended the Centre to help meet the growing demands on this popular space.
The Centre is particularly intended for use by children and young people, but is also used for counselling, conferences and by other groups within the village as long as their aims are sympathetic with our Christian beliefs.
The Centre has a large newly extended meeting room and an independent room appropiate for counselling or smaller meetings. The large room can be partitioned into two unequally sized rooms. It also has a beautiful garden and patio at the rear. There is a small kitchen fitted with fridge, oven, microwave and dishwasher. The aim of the Centre is to demonstrate the love of Jesus through practical care by serving others in the community.
Hiring rooms
Our rooms are available for hire on a case-by-case basis. We often host children's birthday parties, church away days, youth conferences, training events etc. Please use the form on this page to get in touch - telling us as much about your event as possible.
