Main Church Database
This section relates to the information we store of people who are a regular part of the church. This includes church members, those who regularly attend services and those on our main mailing list. We collect this information to enable the church to carry out its duty.
We use ChurchSuite to collect, store and use this information. Therefore none of your information is stored directly by CBC.
Information collected for regular or one-off events
This would include things like weekly children's activities or one-off events such as Holiday Club.
We collect this information to enable the church to run the event safely and where we have responsibility for your children - to ensure that we can contact you (or other nominated adult) in case of an emergency.
Data Protection legislation allows us to process this information as we regard it as being in the church’s legitimate interest. If you are unable to supply the information requested then we will be unable to accept your child at the event.
The information you supply will be collected either via a Google Form or through ChurchSuite. Only the minister and Administrator will have access to this information. If it is necessary to share information with others (such as information on food allergies) only relevant information will be shared. For example, we may inform a small group leader that your child is allergic to nuts - but we won't share your address or your child's DOB.
Your data will be deleted once the event has finished unless you have ticked the box asking us to keep you informed about future activities we think might be of interested to you.
In this case we will retain your name and contact details on a Google spreadsheet. Only the Minister will have access to this file. Your details will only be stored for the sole purpose of notifying you of future events that you may be interested in.
We will NOT pass on this information to anyone else.
You have the right to ask to be removed from this circulation list at any time.
If you are concerned about the way your information is being handled please speak to our Data Protection Officer - this can be done via the form on this page.
If you are still unhappy you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
